From Analog Thermal Relays to Solid-State DSP Microprocessors
Traditional voltage relays relied on analog comparator circuits and mechanical potentiometers prone to vibration drift, thermal aging, and slow reaction times. Zhejiang TMB Electric Co., Ltd. has completely migrated its voltage protection architecture to 32-bit digital signal processors (DSP) executing true RMS voltage sampling across alternating current waveforms at 1.2 kHz intervals.
Our upcoming generation incorporates solid-state zero-crossing synchronization. By timing contact closure precisely as the AC voltage sine wave crosses zero volts, inrush current spikes and contact electrical arcing are diminished by more than 85%. This breakthrough extends mechanical and electrical relay life past 100,000 switching operations, allowing installers to protect ultra-sensitive variable frequency drives (VFDs), server clusters, and medical diagnostic equipment.
Furthermore, our engineering team in Liushi has integrated patented thermal throttling sensors directly onto the copper terminal blocks. If terminal screw loose-wiring leads to dangerous resistive heating above 85°C, the protector initiates a failsafe disconnect regardless of line voltage, preventing distribution board fires before they start.
